Join the Bluebird Belles on a musical journey as they take you back in time to wartime Britain.
Featuring ‘songs that won the war’ such as ‘Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye’, ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’, ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and ‘Leaning on a Lamppost’, singing along is greatly encouraged throughout the show, and with a rousing patriotic finale, flag waving is essential.
With harmonies reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters, the Belles will get toes tapping with swing favourites ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’, ‘Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree’ and ‘In the Mood’!
Including authentic Second World War uniforms and 1940s costumes, the show contains a tribute to ENSA, the organisation providing entertainment for British armed forces personnel during WW2 whose members included George Formby and Dame Vera Lynn.
The show, complemented by original wartime footage from the national archives, begins at the outbreak of WW2 and takes audiences through the years that followed, with a show stopping finale as ‘Victory in Europe’ is declared.
The Belles are adored nationwide, performing at hundred of events every year and, after performing for Their Royal Highnesses Prince Edward and Sophie, The Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh in 2022, the Belles have the royal seal of approval!
